In many cases using the scent powders to add scent provides a stronger, more powerful scent trail than using the liquids alone. Because the powders are water based, they readily soak into salmon eggs, herring, bait fish, etc. Our selection includes real bait scents like Bloody Tuna and Krill, plus amino acids that, when added, bring up the natural smell and scent trail of natural bait. We also offer a selection of chemical powdered scents that are proven to turn on salmon, steelhead, trout, stripers, etc. Just remember that when using powders they need time to marinate in. We recommend a minimum of 15 minutes, with 4 to 8 hours being ideal.

Since it's introduction in 1989 Slam-ola powder has proven itself to be one of the hottest scents ever developed for salmon and steelhead. Slam-ola is a chemical scent powder that does best when given a few hours to marinate into your bait. Hundreds of guides and many thousands of anglers regularly sprinkle Slam-ola powder on their eggs to get a tough bite going. It's also a great additive to sardine fillets for Qwikfish wraps. SODIUM SULFITE
Tech grade 99% pure. A tremendous preservative that works exceptionally well on salmon, trout and steelhead eggs. Produces a heavy milking egg.
