My son's first sturgeon, 65.75" approximate wt. 72 lbs. Martinez, Ca. 6/07. Last spring my friend and I took my son on his first sturgeon fishing trip. He nailed the only fish of the day! We had been trying different homemade roe cures, all day, and finally my son wanted to try some roe in cured in straight WIZARD EGG CURE.  Well here's the result! His bait was in the water 20 minutes! We couldn't seem to hook up at all. Next time, we try WIZARD first!
Ed.note: although this entry was sent in without a name we do have their email address, so hopefully we'll be able to send them their Pro-Cure gift certificate. Also it seems the general opinion of most California sturgeon anglers is that sturgeon won't bite on eggs cured in commercial egg cures. Here in Oregon we catch hundreds of incidental sturgeon each year on eggs cured in Pro-Cure and Wizard egg cure while we back bounce for salmon. The message in this story is don't get too set in your ways, and always be willing to experiment!

I was trolling for salmon in the Sacramento River using a Silvertron spinner and I put some Bait Butter on the back of it(sardine scent). As you can see I have a real good fishing partner and have already introduced him to the Pro-Cure name. When we go fishing he wants to use what I use so he always ask for the JUICE (PRO-CURE OILS and SAUCES) on  a recent trip we limited out using eggs cured with a blend of oils (Shrimp / Prawn and Anise). This is my go to combo for salmon and steelhead fishing in the NW. The largest fish weighed in at 31lbs. My 2 year old helped in every part of the catch on both fish. He helped daddy fight them and land them as well.. Not bad for only 2 years old (he just won't touch them yet) Sincerely, Mark and Curt Lynn
